April 20, 2007 - Multicells/Brief Supercell near Amarillo

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chase Summary: This was mostly just a repositioning day for April 21, but I did manage to see some decent storms near Amarillo just before dark. It was mostly a multicell cluster, but the western-most updraft looked fairly impressive, and may have even had some supercellular characteristics at times. I spent most of the day waiting and hoping for initiation in SW, KS, but never really expecting much at all. I was happy when storms fired near Amarillo because that seemed like a good place to get a hotel and wait for the next day, which looked huge, so I gladly drove down to take a peak and set up camp.
